Come September 1st, Avalanche Studios will be debuting Mad Max for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. As you’d expect, the open world post-apocalyptic title is priced at the usual $59.99. What you might not have seen coming are preorder discounts and bonuses available at several retailers.

Let’s not beat around the bush – PC gamers are getting price pampering. Your best discount is at 2game, where the price drops 55% to only $26.99. If you prefer retailers you’re familiar with, both GMG and Funstock Digital have are 40% off and 54% off, respectively.
Console gamers don’t get anything like PC gamers in terms of discounts but have some interesting gift card bonus values at several retailers. Buy before launch at the Microsoft Store and get a $10 gift card redeemable on Xbox Live, while Best Buy is tossing in a bonus $10 in “My Best Buy Rewards” if you buy from them. The only straight up discount is at Amazon, where being a Prime member drops your price by $7.

Pre-order Bonuses
Pre-ordering Mad Max gets you a free “The Ripper” DLC pack. It’s a fully customizable Magnum Opus car body and a purely digital product for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions at all retailers listed above. If you want a physical bonus, you’ll need to go full price on either the PS4 or Xbox One at GameStop where they have an exclusive Die Cast Magnum Opus 1/64 scale 3-inch car.
Is Mad Max worth pre-ordering with these bonuses? Well, everyone is different, but if a 55% up front discount at 2game isn’t enough to get you to bite, then probably nothing will, and you should play it safe to wait for reviews. As for the console versions, your best bet is Best Buy with the $10 My Best Buy Rewards bonus – especially if you’re a paid “GamersClub Unlocked” member at Best Buy, which gets your price dropped to $48.
