Well, if that whole video game thing doesn’t work out, legendary game director Shigeru Miyamoto might have a future in a different entertainment industry.

The Mario and Zelda creator will premiere Pikmin Short Movies at the Tokyo International Film Festival, according to Variety. The event goes from Oct. 25 to 31. The film is a collection of three animated shorts based on the Pikmin franchise, a series of strategy games where players wander forested worlds collecting and commanding the flower-like creatures called Pikmin. The latest game in the series, Pikmin 3, came out for the Wii U last year.

While Miyamoto has directed and produced dozens of games for Nintendo over the years, this is his first film. Pikmin was a passion project of his. He became inspired to make the first game, which came out for the GameCube back in 2001, after he took up gardening.

Personally, I’m hoping that this leads to that epic The Legend of Zelda movie I’ve always dreamed about, but — you know — baby steps and all that.
