Update 8/1: Latest deal for MGSV is via GMG. The discount is up to 23% off. We’ve strikedout the expired deals as of writing.
We’re less than a week out from the release of Kojima Productions’ Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and retailers are lowering the price in a last push for preorders. Three PC game digital retailers have cut the price by up to 26% off, with two retailers requiring coupons at checkout and one with just straight up instant savings.

No coupon required. Funstock Digital is £34.99 (Steam)

The discount at Funstock Digital for MGSV might seem confusing at first if you’re in the US. The company is based in the UK and thus normally displays the price in British Pounds, but a quick currency change (at the top of the Funstock page) will convert the price for you into USD values.
On Phantom Pain’s page, you’ll notice a list price of $78.11 marked down 20% instantly. That’s a crazy high “list price” to post considering the normal list price is $59.99. Thankfully the 30% off preorder coupon comes into play at checkout dropping the price to $44.15, making it the current best price online from an authorized retailer for Phantom Pain.
The other two retailers are pretty straightforward. 2game shows the 25% off instant savings to $44.99 right off the bat, while DLGamer is 20% off after entering its coupon at checkout.
If you need a discount on console, unfortunately you’re out of luck. Console discounts on a AAA title like this before launch almost never happen, BUT if you’re a Gamers Club Unlocked member at Best Buy ($30 membership), you can drop the price to $47.99. On top of that – or even if you’re not a GamersClub member – you can pre-order Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain at Best Buy for the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 and get a $10 “My Best Buy” Rewards bonus.
Preordering Phantom Pain will get you a Day 1 Edition at select retailers. The preorder bonus includes an Adam-ska special revolver, silver personal ballistic shield, wetland cardboard box, blue urban fatigues outfit, and a Metal Gear Online XP boost and is also available for the aforementioned digital copies.
