We’re so late into 2015 that it’s now time for publishers to start pushing back 2016 releases.
Publisher Electronic Arts revealed today that it is delaying the release of Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst to May 24. Developer DICE, which is also making Star Wars: Battlefront, published a blog post that explains it needs more time to make the first-person parkour-action game as high quality of an experience as possible.

And it takes time.”
Jansson explained that DICE will use the extra weeks of development to make Catalyst “deeper and more engaging.” That includes both the playground-like gameplay as well as the narrative.
Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst first made its appearance at EA’s media briefing at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show in Los Angeles. The company showed it off again in non-playable form at the 2014 E3. But this past June, we finally got our hands on it, and it was one of the best things we played.
