We’re mining up some bad news for Mojang fans.

The Minecraft publisher announced today that it’s delaying Cobalt, a side-scrolling action game for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. It was supposed to come out on October 30, but Mojang has now pushed that date to February 2016.

“We’ve been working on Cobalt for a long time, and though the game is feature-complete, our current build is buggier than we’re comfortable with,” Mojang said. “We want every part of Cobalt — the campaign, challenges, and local and online multiplayer to live up to your expectations, no matter which platform you play it on. That’s going to require a bit more development time.”

A lot of high-profile releases, like the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight, have come under fire recently from gamers for shipping in buggy states. Mojang is likely trying to avoid a similar controversy with this extra development time.

Mojang created one of the biggest hits in modern history with Minecraft. However, it hasn’t done much outside of that franchise. It did create a strategy-based card game, Scrolls, that officially released in 2014, but Mojang stopped development on it this June. Cobalt, however, is different in that Mojang is publishing only, with Oxeye Game Studio handling development.
