The National Security Agency would love this smartphone. The mSpy smartphone lets you track the mobile phone activity of someone you know, without making them aware you are doing so, so long as the person’s smartphone has mSpy software on it.

You can’t just track the activity of anybody around you. Of course, the NSA can probably already do this. Now you can too. Not that it would be legal to actually spy on your friends.

The mSpy legal agreement carries this important warning:

It is a considered federal and/or state violation of the law in most cases to install surveillance software onto a mobile phone or other device for which you do not have proper authorization, and in most cases you are required to notify users of the device that they are being monitored. Failure to do so may result in a violation of federal or state laws, if you install this software onto a device you do not own or if you do not have proper consent to monitor the user of the device.

We absolutely do not endorse the use of our software for illegal purposes.

In other words, the company advises you to tell the person you’re spying on that you’re spying on them. The New York company, MTechnology, pitches the technology as monitoring software that will help parents keep track of kids or let businesses monitor the activities of employees. The mSpy software gives no clue to the target user that their phone is being monitored.

The mSpy monitoring software has been available for a while as a download. But now it will come preinstalled on smartphones. It is currently available on the HTC One, Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5s.

With these smartphones, you no longer have to worry about smartphone compatibility with the software or obtaining physical access to the target phone. In order to track someone’s activity, you need to register their phone with mSpy. Then you use the mSpy smartphone to monitor the person’s smartphone with mSpy loaded on it.

The mSpy software and smartphone bundle includes a one-year subscription to the premium mSpy software. The mSpy technology can capture a range of mobile data, including calls, emails, SMS, keystrokes, Viber, WhatsApp and Skype chats, location, and more.

“The mSpy software bundle is in direct response to the feedback we have been receiving from our customers,” said Andrei Shimanovich, chief operating officer of mSpy. “For the first time, people can now purchase a top-of-the-line smartphone which is preinstalled with a multi-functional cell phone tracker. It’s a perfect solution not just for individuals, but also for businesses.”

The mSpy tech was designed first for parental control. It runs in stealth mode without interfering with the operation of a targeted device. The mSpy tech aggregates the activity in a cloud-based, password-protected control panel, where users can perform remote commands like blocking access to certain programs, web sites, and apps. It can also restrict incoming calls and lock the phone. The bundle starts at $200 for the premium subscription, plus the price of the phone.
