Call of Duty: Black Ops II Explosion

Most people play the Call of Duty series for its addictive multiplayer action, but a new trailer for the upcoming first-person shooter shows off the plot and over-the-top setpieces for the single-player campaign. And explosions. Lots and lots of explosions.

The video looks a lot like a trailer for a summer blockbuster, especially when it touts David S. Goyer  (cowriter for The Dark Knight) as a collaborator. It also offers fans a first look at the title’s antagonist, Raul Mendenez, who publisher Activision describes as “the most insidious villain in Call of Duty history.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops II comes out for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on November 13.
