Your next Zelda adventure could be for real.

Nintendo announced today that it is creating a tour of escape room-style experiences themed around its hit action-adventure series, The Legend of Zelda. Escape rooms have they groups of people working together to solve puzzles to exit a locked place. It’s a good fit for the Zelda series, which has sales of over 62 million games since 1986, as it has its fair share of puzzles and locked doors. Its next entry, Breath of the Wild, is coming out next year for the upcoming Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
Nintendo is working with SCRAP for the project, which won USA Today’s “Best Escape Room” in the U.S. for 2016. But the Japanese company claims that its experience is more than just another escape room.
“While the words ‘escape room’ might come to mind when describing this new experience, ‘Defenders of the Triforce’ is so much more than that,” Nintendo noted in a press release. “Instead of escaping from a locked room, participants work in teams of six to solve a mystery in a huge area, all within a set time limit. The experience will let guests interact with classic items and characters seen in The Legend of Zelda series like the Goron, Zora, and Kokiri tribes. Discovered items can be used to solve puzzles and move forward into other areas, just like in The Legend of Zelda games.”
The tour starts next year. Nintendo has released a schedule, although most of the cities don’t have dates yet.
