The year of Luigi continues as his Wii U game gets a full retail release.

U will get its own standalone retail release for $29.99 on Aug. 25. This is in addition to the downloadable eShop version, which goes on sale for $19.99 on June 20.

This is good news for gamers who like owning a physical product. It also gives players a chance to get a cool green box to add to their Wii U game collection.
New Super Luigi U is a remix of the original Wii U platformer that is completely devoid of Mario. This is Luigi’s gig and he won’t have to worry about his older brother overshadowing him.
