Oculus’ virtual love is beginning to spread to new territories.
The virtual reality company announced today that its Rift headset will become available in Canada and in Europe on September 20. Along with its competitor, the HTC Vive, the Oculus Rift is part of a new wave of consumer VR. Analysts are predicting that VR could generate $40 billion in revenues by 2020. Its U.S. launch in March saw some troubles due to slow production and delivery, causing many who bought the device to wait months before receiving their headsets. All Rifts come with the 3D platformer Lucky’s Tale. Hundreds of free 3D 360 movies are also available at launch, as well as demos for VR games like The Climb.
