The Last of Us is a very serious game. It’s about trying to survive in a world where you could die at any moment. That’s some heavy stuff.
When developer Naughty Dog was filming the motion-capture for the game’s climactic end-game cutscene, creative director Neil Druckmann came up with an idea for an alternative, slightly less gloomy ending. The best part is that Druckmann only informed one of the actors about the change, and everyone else went along.
