Overwatch might be getting ready to reveal a new character … and if not, at least we’ll get to see a nice video.

Blizzard announced today that it will show the next animated short for its hit team-based shooter at 9 a.m. Pacific on August 18 during the Gamescom game industry tradeshow in Cologne, Germany. You’ll be able to watch the reveal live on Blizzard’s site. Overwatch has quickly become a major success with more than 15 millions players, and a new animated short could mean we’re about to see another hero coming to the hit.

Specifically, we’re expecting to see Sombra, a stealth-based character that Blizzard has been teasing for some time. Overwatch saw its first post-release character, Ana, come out last month. Sombra could be the second.

Blizzard has so far released four animated shorts for Overwatch, but those all came out before its release. This will be the first post-launch movie. The other shorts were Recall, Alive, Dragons, and Hero. While those featured previously announced characters, they served to promote the game and familiarize players with the shooter’s heroes and universe.

Of course, there’s a chance that the new short will feature current characters and just include another clue about the mysterious Sombra. Blizzard’s Gamescom site currently features Bastion, so he could be appearing in the video. He might be alone, with another current character, or with Sombra.

If we just get another clue, hopefully those internet sleuths will work fast to unveil this shadowy character.

Blizzard has confirmed that the short will feature Bastion. In fact, it’ll be called The Last Bastion.

“The Last Bastion tells the origin story of the inquisitive transforming robot, Bastion,” Blizzard noted in an e-mail sent to GamesBeat. “In this episode, we follow the forgotten battle automaton as it unexpectedly reactivates after laying dormant in the wilderness for over a decade. Fascinated by its unfamiliar surroundings, the curious omnic begins to investigate, but quickly discovers its core combat programming may have a different directive … .”

Blizzard also included a preview image for the short.
