The title is a launch-day game for the Xbox One.
Peggle 2 publisher Electronic Arts later showed the first gameplay footage of the game in action during its own Gamescom presentation. The title is available for Gamescom attendees to try out.
We’ve reached out to Electronic Arts to ask when Peggle 2 might make it onto other platforms, including PC and mobile. We’ll update this story with any new information.
Peggle 2 isn’t the only PopCap game that has a timed exclusivity window with the Xbox One. The developer’s first shooter, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, is also exclusive to Xbox One for a certain, unspecified amount of time.
Peggle 2 will launch with Xbox One, but Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare isn’t due until spring 2014.
