We’re going to have to wait a little longer to see our role-playing game dreams personified.
Atlus showed off a new trailer for its anticipated PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 RPG Persona 5 at the Tokyo Game Show today. However, while Atlus originally scheduled the sequel for a late 2015 release date, the trailer now shows summer 2016 as the release window.
This delay isn’t entirely surprisingly. We’re running out of 2015, and we haven’t really seen a whole lot of Persona 5 lately. It barely made an appearance during the summer’s Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, for example. Still, this news is likely to sting for fans of the series that were hoping to play the new installment this year.
Well, at least we have the music-based Persona 4: Dancing All Night coming out for the Vita on September 29.
