Pierce Brosnan plays GoldenEye 007 with 'Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon

Former James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, looks at a Nintendo 64 controller like it's some sort of evil torture device ... which I guess it is.

Maybe you spent hours of your life playing GoldenEye 007 for the Nintendo 64. Maybe you were so good you could even get a kill with the useless Klobb. But I doubt you ever played with James Bond himself.

The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon had Pierce Brosnan on last night, and Fallon couldn’t help himself — he had to break out Nintendo’s ol’ 64-bit machine for some split-screen first-person shooting. The host challenged Brosnan to a 1-on-1 GoldenEye match where Brosnan played as James Bond (of course) and Fallon played Sean Bean’s 006 character. While Brosnan may have superspy abilities on film, his gaming skills are lacking.

“I was no good at it,” said Brosnan of the first-person adaptation of his 1997 film Goldeneye. “I played it once and shot myself in the foot.”

That didn’t stop Brosnan from giving the game another try … or from dying at the hands of Fallon. Check out the clip for yourself:
