Even as Nintendo presses forward for the release of Pokémon X and Y for the Nintendo 3DS, the company is looking back on the legacy of its popular franchise.

The publisher is revealing today that it will premiere a four-part miniseries that retells the story of the original Pokémon Red and Blue games. Titled Pokémon Origins, the show will tell the events of Red and Blue in the style of the Pokémon TV programs.
