Fairy moves are supereffective against Dragon Pokémon, a group that had previously had few weaknesses.
Pokémon X and Y unleash this new breed worldwide on Oct. 12.
This is the first time developer Game Freak has added a new type to the series since Pokémon Gold and Silver, the second-generation installment for the Game Boy Color that came out back in 1999. Those installments added Steel and Dark-types.
