The company is rolling out the first big update for Real Racing 3 in 2015, and it is adding a new vehicle: the Porsche Cayman GT4. This is part of a worldwide reveal of Porsche’s newest sports car. Real Racing 3 is a free-to-play driving sim that is one of the top downloaded racing games in dozens of countries around the world. This gives it a massive audience of approximately 500,000 daily active players (according to ThinkGaming) that could help build up some serious buzz for the Cayman GT4.

Porsche debuted the car earlier this week.

Video games and the car industry have had a close relationship for years. Auto manufacturers have released prototype versions of their cars for popular console games like Gran Turismo and Foza in the past. Ford just revealed its new GT, which it showed off at the Detroit International Auto show, will have a big part in the upcoming Forza Motorsport 6. Those franchise’s both have an established audience of car nuts who pour over every detail of the virtual racing machines. Real Racing 3, with its mass appeal and ease-of-access, is showing that mobile has the same kind of audience.

Check out the video reveal below:

The update goes live today, and anyone can try out the car for free. EA has built a challenge specifically for this car that shows off its capabilities.

Players can earn the Cayman GT4 for free and make it a permanent part of their collection by completing a set of challenges.
