Game making is a business that craves data, and one of the companies providing those insights is opening a new branch to ensure a better relationship with some of the biggest developers and publishers in the world.
Newzoo, a research firm that tracks the gaming industry, revealed today that it is opening an office in San Francisco. This is in addition to its Amsterdam headquarters and its Shanghai office, which it opened in October. The new digs will give Newzoo close proximity to some of its most important clients, including Riot Games, Blizzard, and Electronic Arts.

Newzoo client director Emily Souza will oversee the San Francisco office and act as the primary analyst and direct contact for the company’s partners.
