If you’re a Resident Evil fanatic like me, it’s hard to pass up on tomorrow’s releasing of Resident Evil HD Remaster. For PC gamers the game will activate on Steam and retails at $19.99. Rather than pay full price though, today you can take advantage of a 23% off discount at GMG’s 20% off. It cuts nearly $4 out of the list price while the game is in its pre-order phase and is the first discount seen from a digitally authorized PC gaming retailer.
• Resident Evil HD Remaster (Steam Key) — $16 at GMG (list $20)
• Use Coupon: 20PERO-FFDIGI-GAMESX
Note: GMG’s coupon discount is for a limited time only and will probably by Monday, January 26th.
In addition to the game, pre-ordering before January 20th (at around 10AM Pacific) will also get you two digital bonuses. A 30+-track Soundtrack and a G. Trevor Mansion Guide.
What’s new in the HD Remaster?
• More detailed graphics (non-static 3D models)
• Widescreen (16:9) is supported (you can switch modes during gameplay in real time)
• Remasted Audio (5.1ch output supporte)
• Alternative control scheme that lets you push the analog stick in the direction you want to go (or switch to classic controls whenever you want)
The Resident Evil HD Remaster will release January 20th on Steam for the PC. The download will take up about 20GB of space. The game unlocks on Steam as early as tonight at 9PM Pacific time (although the official release date is the aforementioned 1/20).
