Cinematic action-shooter Max Payne 3 isn’t out for another two weeks, but that’s not stopping publisher Rockstar Games from revealing its plans for downloadable content in the coming months.
The game’s first piece of DLC, a map pack called “Local Justice,” will arrive sometime in June and will include additional multiplayer maps for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Payne Killer mode, as well as new multiplayer avatar items and challenges.
Rockstar says it plans to release even more map packs over the summer months and into the fall.
“The story of Max Payne 3 begins in the single-player game and crosses over into the deepest multiplayer experience we’ve ever created,” said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games. “We intend to support the Max Payne community with new and innovative content well into the future.”
All of Max Payne 3’s downloadable content can be bought separately or bundled together with the Rockstar DLC Pass, which is available for preorder now for 2,400 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live, or $29.99 on the PlayStation Network or PC. Buying the pass will give players a more than 35 percent discount compared to purchasing the content individually, claims Rockstar.
