Rockstar finally launched Grand Theft Auto V today, and another developer is trying to step into that game’s spotlight.

Saints Row IV publisher Deep Silver released its GAT V downloadable-content pack that adds a number of items related to the fan-favorite character Johnny Gat. The expansion is available now on services like Steam, Xbox Live Arcade, and PlayStation Network, but it is free today on Valve’s digital-distribution service. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners can pick up the content for $3.

GAT V specifically adds new outfits based on Johnny Gat’s suave style. Players will also get access to a new heavy assault rifle, and a special knife-launching gun.

It’s no coincidence that Volition is promoting this particular piece of DLC today. “GAT V” is an obvious play on the “GTA V” acronym for Grand Theft Auto V. Volition took to Twitter to promote the add-on with a  #GATV hashtag:

Of course, some people are still pretty confused as they are expecting to find Grand Theft Auto-related content using the #GATV hastag.
