Electronic Arts wants you to bring the cities of today into the world of tomorrow. The video game publisher today announced the first expansion pack for its city-building simulator, SimCity, and it will enable players to take their digital metropolis’ on a 50-year journey into the future.
Cities of Tomorrow features new regions, technologies, city specializations, and transportation methods that transform their towns into either utopias of clean technology or dystopias of hyper-commercialism. Players can use education and research to make their cities less polluted and more “green,” or they can exploit their workforce and unleash disasters upon them. Or maybe even both. We’re not judging (you monster).
