Remember Qore? Yeah, most of us probably don’t. It’s a digital magazine by Sony in conjunction with Future Publishing U.S. that’s distributed exclusively on the PlayStation 3 (PS3) through PlayStation Network (PSN). The company is ending Qore’s four-year run in April and killing it off.
“With this April episode, Qore concludes its run on the PlayStation Network,” the company announced. “Our thanks to all involved in the creation and production of Qore and to the many fans who regularly watched each month.”

It launched on June 6, 2008.
Sony did not go into detail about the reasoning behind the shutdown of the magazine, but recent restructuring at Future Publishing U.S. may have affected the online-only publication. On top of that, Sony’s is in the midst of belt-tightening, too, and it is expected to lay off 10,000 employees to help stave off losses, which amounted to $6 billion in the most recent fiscal year.
