Cloud gaming is debuting in Japan on a game console. Sony said that it is launching its PlayStation Now cloud-gaming service in the Japanese market.

Sony made the announcement at its press event at the Tokyo Game Show. With PlayStation Now, games can be streamed from centralized servers to players, enabling them to play games created for older consoles right on the PlayStation 4.

Sony said it has about 150 titles — such as The Last of Us — available on PlayStation Now, starting September 16 in Japan. You can rent games at a flat rate and play them without downloading them in advance.
