Another big publisher has answered the tantalizing call of the MOBA siren.
Square Enix is making its own multiplayer online battle arena, a type of game that has two teams of players trying to destroy the other side’s base while leveling up their heroes. Square Enix is basing its MOBA on its Lord of Vermillion franchise, according to Siliconera. Lord of Vermillion Arena will come out for PC next year.

It has also featured cameo appearances from characters from other popular Japanese gaming franchises, including Persona and BlazBlue.
MOBAs have become incredibly popular in the last few years. League of Legends and DOTA 2 are consistently some of the most played games on PC. Now, it seems like almost every major publisher has its own MOBA in the works.
While most MOBAs use 5-on-5 battles, Lord of Vermillion Arena will pit two teams of seven against each other. An alpha test will take place during Oct. 17 to Oct. 19.
