Legendary Nintendo developer Shigeru Miyamoto is reportedly working on a new Star Fox game, according to a now-pulled interview with Time.
In an interview snippet that the game-news site Kotaku captured, Miyamoto described some of the new Star Fox’s spaceship-based game lay using the Wii U GamePad’s motion controls to aim and fire while simultaneously using its joysticks to accelerate or perform moves like barrel rolls and loops.

It became one of Nintendo’s flagship titles, spawning five more games.
Miyamoto also allegedly said the new Star Fox was originally in development for the original Wii console.
“We originally began working with Star Fox back on Wii, and we had a small group of people experimenting with it for many years, maybe about six years, but we didn’t find an idea that really brought that together for the Wii,” he said. “So instead, we moved experimentation to the Wii U using some of the same assets. It’s been maybe six to 10 months that we’ve been experimenting with it,”
