Star Trek Online is going where few PC MMOs have gone before.

Publisher Perfect World revealed today that the free-to-play game will come out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this fall. The massively multiplayer online role-playing game originally came out for PC back in 2010. The console version will include all of the content released for the game up to this point, including the Legacy of Romulus and Delta Rising expansions.

Perfect World announced a new expansion, one that takes place in the same time as the original series, earlier this month. That content comes out this summer, ahead of the console launch, but it is not included for free with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

“In addition to the countless hours of content, Cryptic Studios has also made considerable updates to the game engine to offer upgraded visuals and an enhanced user experience for console,” noted a press release from Perfect World sent to GamesBeat. “Learning from the recent launch success of Neverwinter on Xbox One, the Star Trek Online team has created a control scheme that allows players to navigate both the space and ground combat with ease.”

Perfect World doesn’t release player numbers often for Star Trek Online, although it did reveal that the game had over 3.4 million registered accounts in 2014 during the MMO’s fourth anniversary. That’s not a huge number, but the new expansion and console versions could bring in new players.
