MOBAs like League of Legends are some of the most popular games in the world. It was really only a matter of time until Star Wars tried to make one of its own. However, Netmarbles gameplay description says that you can command a “squadron of units.” MOBAs typically have players controlling a single character.
“We are thrilled to announce Star Wars: Force Arena, a real-time PvP mobile game based on the globally popular Star Wars franchise,” said Seungwon Lee, chief marketing officer of Netmarble Games, noted in a press release sent to GamesBeat.. “We hope to bring the same level of excitement to the mobile arena that Star Wars has given its fans around the world. Sign-up for pre-registration today, and be notified when the game goes live as we kick-off a whole new adrenaline-fueled Star Wars adventure together.“

Force Arena will feature 65 characters, including favorites like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and even Ezra Bridger from the Rebels cartoon on Disney XD.
Star Wars has had a strong presence on mobile since Disney bought the brand in 2012, including games like Star Wars: Commander and Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. The apps with their in-game purchases are another way for Disney to make money off the brand, while also promoting upcoming films like December’s Rogue One.
