The floodgates are open.

During a Nintendo Direct today, the Japanese gaming giant revealed that those who bought both the 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros. will eventually receive Mewtoo as a downloadable character. Mewtwo will be available in spring 2015.

Mewtwo was a character in Super Smash Bros. Melee for the GameCube, but the Pokémon critter hasn’t been in the series since. This is the first time Nintendo’s offered a new character for the series after a game’s release.

Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS is out now (we really liked it). The Wii U version comes out on Nov. 21.
