It’s time to celebrate the United States of America’s independence from the English just as our founders intended — by playing zombie-filled video games all day on the Fourth of July.

The Walking Dead’s first season is getting a new downloadable episode titled 400 Days this week on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, PC, Mac, and iOS.

The new content incorporates five different stories into one $5 add-on (it requires that you have the first episode of Season One), but it isn’t a direct continuation of the events from the first season.

Telltale released a launch trailer for the episode that shows the game in action. Like always with this series, the drama is running high:

The Walking Dead: 400 Days follows the events of different survivors during the 400 days after the outbreak that turns dead people into zombies. Players can take on the five stories in whatever order they want, and the stories will intermingle depending on the choices that you make.

PlayStation owners in North America will get the content today. The episode will hit PC and Mac tomorrow, and Xbox Live Arcade on Friday.
