Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft just got a whole lot bigger.

Publisher Blizzard has unleashed The Grand Tournament, which is the next major wave of new cards for its digital card battler. This expansion introduces dozens of minions, spells, and more that should shake up how people play the game. But it also brings with it new mechanics that change the very fundamentals of Hearthstone itself. The game now has more than 700 cards that players can collect, and I’m sure many of them will try to get them all by the end of the day.

The Grand Tournament card packs are available in the Hearthstone in-game store right now starting at $2.99 for two packs.

This is only the latest addition to Hearthstone. Blizzard has worked diligently over the last year or so to consistently infuse its card game with new content. This is especially important for a game like this. Hearthstone is Blizzard’s first free-to-play and mobile game, and the company has quickly understood how to keep old fans coming back while constantly introducing the card-collecting simulator to new players.

And the publisher definitely designed The Grand Tournament to keep Hearthstone interesting. The aforementioned new mechanics include a new special keyword that minions can have called “Inspire.” These cards interact with a hero’s spell power to make it more powerful and effective. This takes an old aspect of Hearthstone and puts a new twist on it that could change how people approach matches.
