The PlayStation 4 is going strong.
Sony revealed today as a part of its earnings report that it sold 3 million of the consoles in Q1 2015, as originally reported by GamesIndustry.biz. This brings the Playstation 4’s worldwide sales to 25.3 million. The system debuted with its North America launch on November 15, 2013.
The PlayStation 4 is actually outpacing the PlayStation 2, which took two years and eight months to pass 20 million. The PlayStation 2 eventually sold more than 155 million systems, becoming the best-selling console of all time.
So, yeah, Sony must be pretty happy with the PlayStation 4’s performance.
