The Walking Dead has risen once again in video game form.

Developer Overkill, the studio responsible for PayDay 2, is working on a new game based on megapopular comic book franchise The Walking Dead. The series has made its way into games before. Most notably, adventure-game developer Telltale won GamesBeat’s Game of the Year in 2012 for its episodic adaptation of the postapocalyptic world.

Overkill and Kirkman haven’t provided details about what the game will play like, but we’ve reached out to the studio for more. We’ll update this post with any new information.

“I’m a huge fan of what Overkill and [co-developer] Starbreeze have been able to do with PayDay 2,” The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman wrote in a post on Steam. “It’s just an amazing co-operative game, and I’m excited to be able to announce that Skybound is partnering with Overkill to make a Walking Dead game. I’m happy to say that it’s the co-op game that all of the Walking Dead fans have been waiting for.”

Overkill released the following announcement trailer:

Previously, The Walking Dead has had the aforementioned Telltale game, a poorly received Activision shooter, and a pair of mobile games. Telltale is nearly finished with the second season of its game.
