The dead will walk again soon.

Developer Telltale Games is revealing the details of the next season of The Walking Dead game today. The developer will release the sequel on PC, Mac, consoles, iOS, and additional platforms later this year.

Gamers can purchase the whole second season, which will consist of five episodes, for $22.50. Each episode will cost $5, individually.

“Today we can finally lift the veil, albeit only a little, on how this story will continue,” Telltale Games chief executive Dan Connors said in a statement. “We’ll soon be putting players in the shoes of a lead role that will challenge their expectations of how to survive in a world where no one can be trusted.”

This time around, players will take on the role of Clementine, who was the major supporting character in the first season. She’s still just a child, and that should enable the developers to put gamers into some very tough situations.

Telltale released the first season of The Walking Dead in 2012. It began in April with the first episode and finished the five-episode arc in November. The game is an adventure title that has players making tough choices about life and death. Light puzzle-solving elements break up the story.

Critics praised Telltale’s take on The Walking Dead for its engaging story and tense moments.

Telltale’s The Walking Dead is an adaptation of the Robert Kirkman comic book series of the same name. AMC is currently running a television show based on the book, but the game and that program have very little in common.
