Nintendo knows that it has to move its Wii U gaming console this holiday, so it’s attempting to make the system as appealing as possible.
After revealing the Mario & Luigi bundle (a 32GB Wii U packed in with New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U) earlier this week, the company is now showing off its latest basic Wii U package. The company is teaming up with publisher Activision to pack in its interactive-toy action game Skylanders Swap Force along with Nintendo Land all for $300.
This new Skylanders-filled Wii U will debut at retail Nov. 15.
Here’s everything that gamers will get in the box:
- 8GB white Wii U
- Skylanders Swap Force
- Skylanders Portal of Power unit
- Three Skylanders action figures (Ninja Stealth Elf, Blast Zone, Wash Buckler)
- Skylanders poster
- Skylanders trading cards
- Skylanders stickers
- Nintendo Land
Nintendo dropped the price of the Wii U Deluxe to $300 recently, and that’s how much it is charging for the new 32GB Wii U packed with the Mario and Luigi games. It’s also charging the same for this 8GB bundle, but it does include the $20 Nintendo Land and the $75 Skylanders Swap Force starter kit.
Previously, the Wii U Basic cost $50 less than the $350 Wii U Deluxe set. Many assumed Nintendo would phase out the less popular white model rather than drop its price, but we’re getting the Skylanders bundle instead.
