The latest action role-playing game from Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls developer From Software is as difficult and opaque as its predecessors. Even if you progress through the game slowly, killing every boss, speaking to every non-playable character, and reading every item description, odds are you still won’t uncover everything there is to know about the city of Yharnam and its cursed inhabitants.

Luckily, the Souls series has a passionate community dedicated to piecing together its many mysteries, and some clever commenters on the Bloodborne Reddit site have uncovered a very cool little Easter Egg.

At some point in your travels through Yharnam, you might come across an item called “One Third of Umbilical Cord.” According to the item’s description, it’s a great relic that grants the user Insight (one of the game’s currencies) and “eyes on the inside, although no one remembers what that truly entails.”

So, what does it mean to have “eyes on the inside?”

The answer can be found in the Plain Doll, the NPC you speak with to level up in Bloodborne’s hub world, the Hunter’s Dream. If you angle the camera just right, it will clip through the doll’s head. And this is what you see:

Mind. Blown.

This might be a minor detail within Bloodborne’s larger plot, but it’s a fantastic little detail nonetheless, and it shows the level of attention From Software has given the game’s lore and world.
