Developer Respawn Entertainment will release its mech-based first-person shooter Titanfall for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on March 11.

“Since we revealed the game in June, we’ve been absolutely blown away by the reaction to Titanfall,” Respawn cofounder Vince Zampella said in a statement. “The feedback we’re getting from fans around the world is fueling our team as we head towards March and motivating us to deliver an experience that lives up to the hype.”

Respawn and its publishing partner Electronic Arts also revealed a Titanfall Collector’s Edition for a whopping $250.

The special package will include the game, an 18-inch statue of a Titan fighting off opponents, a 190-age art book, and a full-size schematic poster of one of the mechanized infantry units.

Despite the titanic price (see what I did there?), the Collector’s Edition will not include any Titanfall downloadable content, according to Respawn’s frequently asked questions page.

Titanfall is the first game from Respawn. It is a futuristic shooter that has on-foot and highly agile soldiers facing off against other soldiers. Players can also build up their points to call in their Titan, which are giant, armored mech suits. This mixes up the action because players will always have to fend off attacks from both sprinting, double-jumping soldiers and big, lumbering machines.

Respawn is a new studio founded by developers Jason West and Vince Zampella, who previously led Infinity Ward, Activision’s lead Call of Duty team. While at Infinity Ward, Zampella and West turned Call of Duty into one of the biggest entertainment properties in the world. Following the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Activision fired West and Zampella for supposedly holding talks with competitor Electronic Arts about starting a new studio.

West and Zampella filed a suit against Activision. The publisher countersued. The two parties settled in May 2012.

In March, after bringing on around 40 additional former Infinity Ward staffers onto Respawn, Jason West left the company “to take care of some family issues.”

Respawn now employs around 70 people.

In June, Respawn revealed Titanfall during MIcrosoft’s Xbox press conference prior to the Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show in Los Angeles. It went on to win the game critic’s Game of the Show award.
