Respawn is ready to get a little nutty with the next update for its sci-fi shooter Titanfall.

The developer revealed today that it the sixth update to Titanfall includes a new mode that eliminates pilots and Titans. Pilot Skirmish instead has two teams of nothing but eight humans fighting against one another. Respawn has not announced a release date for the update and the playlist, but this should likely debut in the next few weeks.

Pilot Skirmish is unlike the rest of Titanfall’s modes. The online-only shooter has a variety of different game types, but they all featured six-person teams fighting on a battlefield with countless computer-controlled bots as well as the Titan mechs that players could call in mid-match. Human-only teams should make for a different play experience.

In addition to the new mode, Respawn is making Marked For Death, which is a tag-style game where players have to kill whoever is “it” on the other team, a permanent mode. The studio introduced Marked For Death in a previous update to Titanfall.

Update six introduces some new ways to use and “buy” burn cards (the game still does not use real money — only in-game currency). Players can buy specific cards from a rotating lineup as part of a new Daily Deals section in the Black Market.

Finally, the upcoming patch fixes and fine-tunes a number of bugs and balance issues. Respawn posted a full changelog on its website.
