Gaming culture is pop culture. Need proof of that? Well, you can watch Indie Game: The Movie on Netflix, Seth Rogen is making a movie about the Nintendo vs. Sega battle of the 1990s, and Gamer Age is about to debut live on the Web.

Gamer Age is a new documentary that looks at the cultural impact gaming has had over the last 40 years. It explores how gaming influences education, therapy, art, and our relationships with one another. And you can watch the film live in about a half hour when Twitch livestreams the premiere starting around 2:15 p.m. Pacific Time.

Here’s the announcement from Twitch:

“It is our distinct pleasure to announce that the highly anticipated gaming documentary Gamer Age, from filmmaker Ian Santer, will premiere live on Twitch today, Nov. 21d, immediately following Twitch Weekly. Gamer Age is an awesome documentary that takes a deep, holistic look at the gaming industry from its humble inception to the modern day, and the overall impact gaming has had on modern culture.”

Twitch Weekly is happening right now, and you can watch as the show transitions directly into the movie. So, go pop some corn and fill your mug with some soda pop and enjoy the show.
