To get into the Electronic Entertainment Expo, you have to work in the gaming industry. To have E3 come to you, just tune into Twitch.

The gameplay broadcasting website Twitch revealed today that it is the official livestreaming partner of the E3 event for the next three years. Twitch and the Entertainment Software Association, which presents the show, came to an agreement that will enable gamers around the globe to watch video directly from the Los Angeles Convention Center show floor during the June expo.

Twitch will also have its own booth at the convention where it will host industry insiders and companies demoing their products. The ESA is hoping this partnership will help raise E3’s profile worldwide. Twitch has more than 40 million active monthly viewers who are looking for more content related to their favorite franchises and upcoming releases.

“Live video has changed the video game industry in a fundamental way and transformed how gamers learn, communicate, and share their passion for games,” Twitch chief revenue officer Jonathan Simpson-Bint said. “Twitch looks forward to deepening consumers’ E3 online experience with top E3 news, original interviews, and behind-the-scenes E3 footage.”

Twitch broadcasted from E3 last year. It had a packed schedule of developers looking to get in front of its engaged audience.

“E3 is the leading computer and video game event in the world. It is known and respected as the launch pad for the latest in video game news,” ESA communications boss Rich Taylor said. “We look forward to partnering with Twitch and extending E3’s worldwide reach to billions of consumers.”
