You can catch up on our massive E3 coverage here, but we were wondering what our community thought about today’s unveiling of hardware and games.
It seems a large portion of GamesBeat’s Twitter followers thought that Sony had the best day thanks to a strong debut of the PlayStation 4 — with an impressive software lineup, lack of game-sharing restrictions, and a price $100 cheaper than Microsoft’s $499 Xbox One. Still, some people preferred Xbox’s exclusives, including Titanfall, the new shooter from Respawn, a studio made up of ex-Infinity Ward members.
We also had a couple of people tell us at that SNK won. We think they were being facetious.
Anyway, you can read some of the community’s reactions as well as those from some of the biggest figures from the industry below.
@gamesbeat Sony. They came out swinging and knocked MS out. They seem to care more about games. Big titles and indie. They get my money.

@gamesbeat #Sony. No DRM, better pricing, apparent commitment to indie devs. I can play Titan Fall on a PC, so why do I need an #xbone?

#PS4 $399–GENIUS.Microsoft messed up on this one, Sony seized the opportunity. €399 and £329. Talked about consumer trust. Well played — Michael Pachter (@michaelpachter) June 11, 2013
@gamesbeat Sony nailed it. More interesting games, no DRM, better hardware design, more powerful console, no DRM, cheaper. Clear winner.

Between Watch_Dogs and The Division, did Ubisoft win E3 two years in a row?
— TychoBrahe (@TychoBrahe) June 10, 2013
@gamesbeat I think Microsoft won personally because they’ll be getting a sale for sure out of me. Great games, great multimedia features.

@gamesbeat Hard to say. I preferred the MS line up but i liked Sony’s pricing/policies better

@gamesbeat On games alone I would have to say Microsoft.Titan Fall looks incredible. — John Garland (@ViolentRaven1) June 11, 2013
Sony just wrapped all the way around and won E3 twice in the same year.

@gamesbeat Sony, they actually came out and ANSWERED our questions on used games/drm/constant on. Not wishywashy corporate speak! — NiDSonic79 (@nsonic79) June 11, 2013
