Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End multiplayer mode sounds like a really great, and obvious, idea. So, when can I get my hands on it? How about in December.

According to Naughty Dog’s Christophe Balestra, who made an appearance on Sony’s stage during the Paris Games Week event, we can expect an open beta running from December 4 to December 13.

This announcement followed a trailer showing off some of the gameplay we can expect from Uncharted 4 multiplayer, which hinted at several class types and playstyles. Aside from the obvious multiplayer action game tropes of sniper rifles, machine guns, and health packs, the trailer also showed off some more interesting ideas. It had a weaponless character that could dodge bullet fire and rush down an opponent, a character using a grappling hook to swing high into the air and bash down onto an enemy player, and a character that tossed an artifact into a courtyard, which spawned a giant idol that spewed some sort of poisonous gas.

In order to learn more about who these characters are and the specifics on what they can do, we’ll have to wait until December’s open beta to find out.
