Video Blips: Binary Domain, Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13, and more

Overheard at Nintendo's offices: "Hey, I had a great idea! Let's put Pokemon in a turn-based-strategy game, maybe even do a crossover. No, not Fire Emblem; everyone knows about that! Let's go with Nobunaga's Ambition. Maybe that'll make it gain traction in the United States!"

  • I have mixed feelings about Binary Domain. On one hand, it seems to draw inspiration from two of my favorite science-fiction movies, Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell. On the other hand, this could end up being an average shooter with too much melodrama.

Continue past the break to see Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition, a surprisingly epic trailer for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13, and Double Fine's upcoming Happy Action Theater for Kinect.

  • Honestly, I've probably daydreamed about a Pokemon game set in medieval times before. I mean, wouldn't it be pretty cool to see humans catching Pokemon before all this fancy technology came about? With that said, I'm pretty sure this isn't what I had in mind.

  • Remember when the big thing on the Interwebs was taking film trailers and putting them to the music of the Inception trailer? That trend was the first thing that popped into my head when this video of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 started playing.

  • I'd say I'm disappointed that Double Fine hasn't done more with Kinect, but this trailer is seriously trippy. If the cost were low enough, I really could see Happy Action Theater being a fun distraction for families with kids too young to really enjoy games like Wii Sports.
