The cel-shaded and chaotic lootfests of the Borderlands franchise eschews formality for cheek and unfiltered humor. Its latest accomplishment of ridiculousness: successfully transplanting a South African doo-wop song into a bonkers world rife with psychos, narcissistic masterminds, and a lot of blood.

Video Blips:

• Yes, you're really listening to The Tokens' "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" while all hell breaks loose in a Borderlands 2 trailer. Something extra must've been added to developer Gearbox's coffee filters, as this is probably one of the most creative collections of gameplay footage out there.

Continue after the break for a bunch of people in tights and capes punching each other in the face in Injustice: Gods Among Us and 007 Legends' henchman hunt within snowy crags.

• The whole "superheroes gone bad" trope works well within Injustice: Gods Among Us, if only as a necessary catalyst for a bunch of superheroes beating the hell out of each other. This game essentially epitomizes all the versus debates my loser — er, geeky friends continually toss at me.

• What's better than a black-diamond jaunt down a snow-slick mountain face in 007 Legends? Why, capping uniformed henchmen while you do it, of course! That's the last time I'll visit a ski resort advertising "clearance" prices.
