Ready for another romp through the Library? I am. Thanks to Dark Souls, my TV is already lined with controller-catching pillows. I'm all set!
Video Blips:
• Developers 343 Industries and Saber Interactive bring us back to where it all began with this peek behind the scenes of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. You know the undertaking is particularly monumental when more than one person agonizes over the shading of Master Chief's visor.
Continue after the break for the call to Saints Row: The Third's battlefields, a cyber-cruise on the waters of Deus Ex: Human Revolution's "The Missing Link" DLC, and the beginning of the end for the cruel penguin regime in Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken.
• Saints Row: The Third humbly honors the huge successes of the Battlefield and Call of Duty franchises…by thoroughly mocking their advertising campaigns. Because nothing says "incompetent military" like someone in a rabbit suit blowing up a tank.
• Deus Ex: Human Revolution protagonist Adam Jensen learns what happens when you don't binge on a first-class freighter ticket in The Missing Link DLC. I'm surprised the ocean actually exists in 2027 without somehow getting corporatized. ("This large body of salt water brought to you by EnerCo.")
• The design of Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken looks a tad generic, but that doesn't matter because nuclear jetpack. Also, a penguin dictatorship only works if the leader is Morgan Freeman.
