I absolutely hate it when game sequels are announced with the same working title as the prequel. Take the new Alan Wake, for instance. The teaser trailer says Alan Wake Returns in big white letters. Why not make that the working title and avoid any confusion?
Video Blips:
- Is it already time for a new Lego game? Jokes about the series aside, Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 looks to be just as entertaining as the previous entry. Personally, I'm looking forward to killing the Lego version of Bellatrix Lestrange in HD.
Continue past the break to see a teaser for the next Alan Wake, some player-created content in Voxatron, and the opening cinematic for the now-free Star Trek Online.
- Okay, so this trailer doesn't really tell us anything about the game. But I've always thought that Alan Wake was a great game with a an ending that brought down the rest of the experience, so I'm willing to give Remedy another shot at getting it right.
- Retro-style graphics, player-made content, and buying it helps Child's Play. How have I not heard of Voxatron before? The gameplay looks pretty fun, but what really appeals to me is the sheer amount of content that will be available for this game. Look at that Apple Store level!
- Ah, so another MMO goes free to play. Star Trek Online, like DC Universe Online, was one of those games I always thought looked interesting but not worth the investment. Now, I may have to give it a shot, especially after seeing this awesome opening cinematic.
