World of Warplanes still needs a few more weeks before it can take flight.

Developer Wargaming revealed today that it is pushing back the release of its online multiplayer shooter World of Warplane. The game will now go live in different regions on Nov. 12 and Nov. 13. The studio wants to use the extra time to improve the game before launch.

“We are committed to releasing a great title and are doing everything to ensure that World of Warplanes gets the final polish we believe the game needs,” World of Warplanes director of operations Vlad Belozerov said in a statement. “The extra time will allow the development team to fine-tune the game balance and make sure that every feature is top-notch before launch.”

World of Warplanes pits players against one another in aerial combat during the second World War on PC. It will feature air vehicles from different periods and five different nations. The game is free-to-play with microtransactions for players who want to unlock better aircraft without having to slog through dozens of games to build up experience.

The game is currently in a beta phase, and Wargaming confirmed that it will not reset the experience those players earned during the testing.

Wargaming originally intended to launch the title next week on Sept. 25 and Sept. 26. The company is also responsible for the popular World of Tanks online shooter and a sea-based combat game called World of Warships that is still in development.
