World of Warcraft’s fifth expansion finally has an official release date.

Warlords of Draenor launches on Nov. 13, developer Blizzard revealed today during a live stream. The new expansion sends players back in time to an alternate version of Warcraft’s history and will hopefully stop the game’s bleeding subscription numbers.

Along with new zones, dungeons, and raids, Draenor increases the level cap from 90 to 100. Blizzard is also adding a form of player housing via garrisons, giving you a personal space and a place from which to send out recruited nonplayer characters on missions. You also get a free level 90 boost when you buy Warlords of Draenor, so you can create a new character and experience the new content right away.

World of Warcraft is the most successful massively multiplayer online role-playing game in history. It originally launched in 2004 and at one point had 12 million subscribers in 2010. However, that number is currently down to 6.8 million. Blizzard is surely hoping that this new expansion will bring back old players.

World of Warcraft’s last expansion, Mists of Pandaria, came out Sep. 25 2012.
