Warner Bros. is about to cash in on J.K. Rowling’s creations again. The film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (based on Rowling’s writings) debuts on Friday, and Warner is releasing a new hidden-object mobile game based on the film today.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer Mediatronic have created Fantastic Beasts: Cases From the Wizarding World, a game where you find hidden objects in landscapes. It is rated for everyone 12 and up, but hidden-object games are particularly popular with women.
Your job in the Android and iOS game is to join the Ministry of Magic and investigate unexplained happenings that could only be caused by magical creatures. Players will rise from recruit to top Magizoologist as they unravel mysteries, discover hidden clues, interview witnesses, analyze evidence and cast spells while upholding the International Statue of Secrecy.
The game has “atmospheric music, beautifully illustrated enchanted environments and intriguing mysteries draw players into the wizarding world in a new way,” Warner said. You can journey to familiar settings such as the Leaky Cauldron and Diagon Alley.
